I had a simular problem. I could barely hear the chime when Buzzer Control was set at 8. I moved the Buzzer Control up to 12 and completed a test and found no noticeable difference in the chime volume. Subsequently, I moved the Buzzer Control up to 15 (Max) and then repeated the test. Once again I saw no noticeable difference in the chime volume. Working with my security company I then moved the Buzzer Control down to 1 and once again repeated the test. With this setting I was finally able to hear the chime.

What they explained to me is that the “tone” had changed and in my case the sound moved into my my audible range and something my hearing aids were able to process.

Light 2 = Bell/Horn Trouble (Possible blown siren fuse)

Light 5 = General System Supervisory (Enter programming and enter 902)

Light 6 = 5204 Power Supply Module Low Battery

Light 7 = 5204 Power Supply AC Failure

Zone light 2 = AC Failure

Zone light 3 = Telephone Line Trouble

Zone light 4 = Failure to Communicate

Zone light 5 = Zone Fault, Press 5 again to show which zone

Zone light 6 = Zone Tamper, Press 6 again to show which zone

Zone light 7 = Zone Low Battery, Press 7 again to show zone

Press 7 again, wireless Keypad low battery (Lights 1 to 4)

Press 7 again, wireless Keyfob low battery (Lights 1 to 8)

Zone light 8 = Loss of System Clock (* 6 + Master Code + 1 + Time/Date/Year + #)

(Example: 1pm 12/26 1998 would be 1300122698#)
